Ammon's 1st bday pictures and videos to come
Sorry I'm so lame! The pirate party was loads of fun but with having my Dad in town and taking him back to San Antonio today, I have had no time to upload and fix my blog. Why can't I get a cool template and get my playlist to work too? Is it just me? Uuuggggghhhhhh! OK, more tomorrow! I promise.

Ammon took his first steps today!
My little boy is growing up so fast. With his 1st birthday rapidly approaching, he decided enough is enough with this crawling around! He loves being with his brothers and gets frustrated not to be able to do everything they do!
He took about 4 steps before I got my camera out and then was tired of performing. But here he is in all his cuteness!

Dinosaur Day
Today in Heavely Homeschool, our subject is dinosaurs. I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday to pick up Mary Pope Osbourne's "Magic Treehouse" books 1-8. Zechariah loves them and I found study guides online to go along with each of them. Hello! School is done for me-I love it!
So, we read the book, "Dinosaurs at Dawn" in circle time, took a quiz review, colored dinosaur pictures, and made a dino diorama. The kids had a blast. Then we played Dinosaur land in centers. Now it is recess, YAY!
Knit or Not! I would be the NOT!

Heavenly Home school
So today was my 1st official day of school at home with Zechariah (and Gabriel). We decided that we needed a name and motto for our school. So after Family Home Morning (much like FHE, we do it at the beginning of every school day-it really helps the Spirit reside in the home and for me to have patience!), I asked Zechariah why we home school instead of going to regular school like everyone else. He informed me that he already knows what they learn at school (since he attended last year for 1/2 a year) and now he has to learn everything that Mommy knows. Ummm, ok but not quite. After asking him questions like, what was important to us as a family and what we wanted in life, he said: "Star Wars and going to heaven!" Let's stick to that last part, ok? So, he came up with the name Heavenly Homeschool. What a great kid he is! :) I am very happy to be able to stay at home with my children and teach them here. I still second guess myself at times but know that I am doing the right thing. This day has actually been better than the last few months. The kids love it when I am there with them; teaching them, listening to them, engaging, and challenging them. I love it too!
