LEGOS, LEGOS, and more LEGOS!!!
My son, Zechariah loves to play with Legos. No, I don't think you understand: he is obsessed with Legos. He can make anything with Legos. He can play them for hours and hours and hours and hours and....you get the idea. Two weeks ago I went to the farm in Ohio to visit Gary's parents and just hang out in the solitude of the farm. They have an enormous, very ecletic stash of Legos and let Zechariah pull them out onto the sunroom and leave them out over the week we were there. I NEVER let him leave the Legos out. (I am WAY too OCD for that) Anyways, his Aunt Sarah was visiting that week too and together they came up with some pretty impressive creations. Gabriel likes Legos too but he doesn't build them like Zech does. He likes Zech to build so that he can play. Even Ammon has gotten into the "Lelos". Zechariah has let me know that he wants to be a Lego creator when he gets older and a Robot engineer. OK!

We went to Target on Tuesday and found some 'Space Police' Legos. (not pictured) It is a new series so I was a sucker and bought the boys a set. When we got home, Zech sat down, pulled out the instructions, dumped out the box, and had it all built within 15 mins. I was amazed! Maybe he'll be an inventor of some sort after all. You never know....

He also told me about the Lego Temple he made. I'm pretty envious of his building skills because I am a self proclaimed Lego idiot...I have no building aptitude at all...everything I TRY to make looks a bit abstract...only not on purpose :)
wow! i am impressed!! Lucas loves legos, but I hate the idea of little legos everywhere so we have big legos... but i have FINALLY decided (thanks to your blog) that i need to get lucas the little legos he has been begging for!!! I am amazed at his building ability...!! great job zech!!!

Dont forget to get gary to send me P90X!!! I remember the 2 huge tubs of legos as a child.
We LOVE Legos at our house too... I can sit and build with my kids for hours and then oops! I guess we'll have cereal for dinner :)
Those are some skills. He has great independence! Eden insists on major help with anything similar.
So great. We love Legos at our house. I should say Brad loves them. I can't even tell you how many sets he has purchased since coming home from Iraq. He's teaching Kaeson to build lots of stuff, and they can play with them FOREVER. Kael mostly just plays with already built stuff and takes them apart, but they all have a blast doing it. They just opened a new Lego store in Dallas and Brad is DYING to take the older boys up there. We'll definitely keep an eye out for Zech's creations!
